My Own DNA Song

(Click on Image to Listen to My Personal DNA "Song")

Ok this is truly geeky but it is fun!

The company 23 and Me has put participants' DNA sequence to a musical scale and one can now "listen" to their own DNA song. Judy Russell of The Legal Genealogist shared her DNA song on Facebook and on her own blog as well. Well, after listening to hers I was inspired to hear my own song.

Since I have also tested with the same DNA company, I decided to find my own DNA Melody as well. If you have tested with the same company you can hear your own song. On the left side of the main page, there is a link called "Ancestry Labs". After clicking on that link, a page comes up and one can listen to their own DNA Melody.

It is only about 6 seconds long, but is your own unique genotype, constructed onto a musical score and then played. You can  hear your variety of musical instruments as well.

Now I have my own unique "song" to embed in my head.  (Ok, not really---but it's fun anyway!)

Ahhh man, I wish I could hear my DNA song, but that won't happen because I tested with another company. This is just too cool for words . . .
